Department Manager
Salary Position
Description:
As a department manager, you will manage the department assigned to you by merchandising, controlling stock, finding new products, producing and implementing cleaning and maintenance schedules. You will also be asked to train staff in your department, coordinating new employee orientation and training, closing and cashing out the store all while providing excellent customer service.
You Will:
- Monitor and control cost and expenses, margins, control shrink, and monitor display space.
- Work with liquor buyer to maintain correct product assortment and inventory levels
- oversee shift operations
- Receive and inspect products for accuracy of shipment, quality, and dates
- Manages department inventory control ensuring no out of stocks and or overstocks

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have a minimum of 4years of professional experience in progressive retail sales
- Preferred 3 to 5 years of beer or liquor retail experience
- Previous experience in the import / distribution level of liquor industry is a plus
Ideal Candidate:
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work a full-time schedule
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Must be able to lead, support, and contribute to team goals
- Must have the capacity to take initiative when problems arise
